In the mail today (from Japan). Not completely obsessed yet, but I like to get scale models of the motors I own :)

ANJA Eurphorics in Black Gloss.
A few days ago I got a call from Caryn, her little brother Scott (he’ll always be Scotty to me!) has launched a new sunglasses company which totally took me by surprise!
I checked out the site, real nice. I thought Caryn had designed it but it turns out Scotty did it all by himself. Being a bit of a sunglasses collector I couldn’t help myself so I bought a pair.
They came in the mail today and I love them! They’re rad, packaged nicely, came with some stickers and an ANJA branded pouch and cleaning cloth too.
Check out: http://anjaeyes.com and also be sure to check out the ANJA Blog, warning though, it’s not safe for work!

Sold for $400.

Sold for $1550.
I was hoping the bike would go for $500 (there were so many watchers!) but $400 is pretty good. Happy with the guitar too. More spending money for fish stuff aye?!

Ibanez RG Prestige RG2550ZL.
I’ve decided to sell my Ibanez RG Prestige too and it’s now on eBay. I just don’t play it at all. Heavy Metal isn’t my thing any more I suppose. I’m really wishing I bought an American Fender Strat instead now, big time!

Suga’s new iPhone 4 takes a decent photo. These pics are completely unedited (direct upload from phone to Flickr). Click the images to view the full size direct from the phone.
I dropped in to check out BIG today at the Object Gallery Surry Hills (an exhibition I was featured in as part of Sydney Design 2010). It’s small but really fun, especially the slides on the lightbox that you have to close one eye and peek into. They’re damn amazing (so 3D!).
A few pics:

BIG – put together by designer Stephen Goddard and photographer Keith Saunders.

Screen on entry (BMU RPRSNT!).

The exhibition space. That’s me at the back left in the lightbox.

These photo slides were sooooo good and added a level of interaction which is always great at exhibitions (if it was me I’d have done the entire exhibition in this style!).

It’s the me!

My little blurb.

Nice to see the bike path in between the foot path and the road outside the gallery too, very cool and the way it should be!
The exhibit runs until the end of this month. More details here.

Christina and I thought we’d make the most of the great weather so we dropped into Paddington Markets to buy some bread and also to consume the best Belgian chocolate waffle we’ve ever had (sincerely, don’t ever remember a waffle tasting better than this!).

Random: real estate sign.

Last night we had Jon and Kay over for dinner (they did the cooking!). Always great company these two. I rattled off a few shots and as I thought, the Lumix GF-1 struggled in low light in auto mode. Most of the shots came out too blurry to bother with:

Not sure how the Becks ended up in my fridge downstairs but it’s a crispy beer so I’m not complaining! A while back I went to a wine show and had a taste of the James Squire Golden Ale and loved it pretty much right away. It’s fruity and reminds me of a German mango beer.

Suga – Shooting inside under house lights is a lot better than any other camera I’ve owned.

Jon – Shooting outside though was a different story (every shot was pretty much blurry and noisy).

Jon and Kay going 9 years strong.

My old pocket camera definitely couldn’t take shots like this! Yes I could have framed these shots a little better but hey, the Lumix GF-1 takes a quick snappy shot in full auto and I’m treating it like it’s a tiny point and shoot. I’ve got some subjects coming over later tonight. Low light, good wine and a bit of Wii action! I’ll see how the new camera copes with that!
