Came back home to a clean house as I’d organised for the cleaners to come in whilst I was gone. Also, pressies on my kitchen table and an egg sandwich (thanks mum!) and cookies (thanks sis!).
Mia was very vocal, poor baby.
She was instantly up for some quality couch time :)
Purr purr purr.
Flew in to a beautiful day in Sydney. Cab driver tried to rip me off by going the long way home, was a little annoying having to correct him a few times and the bill ended up being more than 10 times the cab fares we’ve been used to over the past week, but hey… I’m home!
House was sparkly clean as I’d organised for the cleaners to come in whilst I was away. What an awesome move that was! Mia was suuuper sooky, she still is today, so cute. I’ve not unpacked yet, need to do a food shop too and also catch up with everything Zen. It’s great to be back!
Was a great day today @ Zen Garage. BBQ, hot cars, great people, but right now… quality couch time with Mia :)
Mia’s sporting a pink collar again (pink skulls of-course!).
It’s taken a while, but Christina has Max back, and he’s SO AWESOME!!!!! I caught up with Max (hehe) a week ago now, he’s MASSIVE and the same old Max I remember, like a dog! Love love love him. Miss him heaps and heaps.
Keke Mia. Bit chubbers ATM.
Modern Pet is a little business I formed with Christina, my sister Jamie and her husband Richie. Sadly it never took off… it’s not losing money, but it needs more energy in order to really make more sales and right now, especially since little Miles is in the world, it’s time no-one has to spare.
I’m still proud of the branding and online shopping cart design. It’s running on Opencart and I worked farking hard to get it looking as clean as it does. Jamie found a site for selling sites, interesting! We thought we’d give it a go, check the online auction here: http://flippa.com/auctions/2732864/site
PS: We’ve still got some awesome stock left and if you enter the code “MAY” on checkout you’ll save an additional 40%. Visit: http://modernpetshop.com/
Pretty flowers are pretty.
Uncle Toshi showing us some amazing footage of a Sake Brewery in Japan. The man has an amazing eye!
“Happiness” – Sake cups. Pressies for Nana from Japan.
The birdies, safely at Nanami’s.
Helped Nanami transport a couple of birdies today. Her relo’s are over from Japan and her Mum’s taking them all for a trip to Tassie so Nana’s put her hand up to look after the birds.
Her Mum’s place is amazing, there’s so much to look at, everywhere (so much stuff has gone in, probably nothing much has gone out!) my eyes failed to settle on any one thing!
I got to meet her amazing Uncle Toshi too who’s an EMI award winning Director (check out “Dream Window” here), he shared some footage of a job he’s working on for a Sake Brewery in Japan. Think snow, so heavy that the footage looks black and white. Lovingly framed, can’t wait to see the final results!
Max & Mia.
Since late last year I’ve noticed Max getting more and more demanding to the point of destroying stuff in the house, meowing a lot, pissing on things he’s not meant to, he even shat in the middle of my office (knowing that’s where I spend a lot of my time!!!).
He needs a LOT of love as he’s the sookiest most affectionate cat I’ve ever met. I’m hardly home at all these days so I’ve been pushing Christina to take him (being single right now I can’t help but feel like cat man too with 2 cats!), problem is, she’s got a dog! She’ll be moving out in August and can take Max then, but she’s been looking for someone to take him off me until then. The first friend fell through a few months ago, but some new friends have decided to take him on and yesterday I said goodbye.
Super sad :( Mia’s been following me around the house everywhere, she’s being all vocal now too, and hearing that Max has been hiding behind the bed of the new owners place all night and this morning too makes me feel rotten :(
Dave came around to pick up the tank this morning. It was really smelling up the entire house, so gross!
I was expecting the wooden floorboards under the tank to be totally destroyed by the salt, but hey check it out! It’s totally fine! :) Now to find something exciting to sit in the tanks place.
